Helping Your Cat Survive a Move to a New Home

People love their pets and rightly so. When it comes time to move, however, pets get stressed out. This is particularly true for cats, which means you need to take some calming steps.

Yes, when we're with strangers we are somewhat guarded at first and you need to have that ice-breaker. I rarely talk about the weather but ask my 'acquaintance' questions about him/her - and, here's the important part - I really listen. Too often, when we met someone new - we go on and on about ourselves. You'll be surprised by the change in your 'new friend's' attitude if you make them the center of the conversation rather than telling them your life story.
Thanks for the article - I learned a new word - sociolinguistics.
Take care.

I love your site! So glad you found mine and commented.

Onomatopoeic words have been my favorites since reading about Puff the cat in my early readers.

I learned so much from the first few posts I've read; I'll be back, for sure.

Such a surprise. Somehow, because she was so fearless about appearing in public, it seemed as if Bhutto would be unharmed - no logic to that, of course, but one couldn't help feeling that way, whenever her name came on the news. Not that most of us North Americans gave the matter much thought, I suppose... but here's another reminder that this is a very unsettled time in history, and it's a small world indeed.
